Dr. Michiel Frederick Coetzer is an accomplished academic and industry leader with more than 20 years' experience in leadership, industrial psychology, and organizational development. With a PhD in Leadership in Performance and Change, a Master of Commerce in Industrial Psychology, a Bachelor of Commerce Honors in Industrial Psychology, and a Bachelor of Commerce in Tourism Management, Dr. Coetzer brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his roles in academia and practice. Dr. Coetzer currently serves as a Professor of Leadership and Management at Tecnologico de Monterrey and guest professor at Egade Business School in Mexico, where he designs and delivers courses on leadership, corporate social responsibility, innovation, business strategy, organizational behavior, and human resource management. His responsibilities include teaching, curriculum design, content development, research, and student support. Dr. Coetzer is also a Guest Professor at ESB Business School and Hochschule Works University of Applied Sciences in Germany and serves as a Dissertation Supervisor at Arden University in the United Kingdom. Prior to these roles, Dr. Coetzer was an Associate Professor in International Business at Universidad de las Americas Puebla, where he taught courses on organizational behavior, leadership, talent management, social enterprises, and international management. He also served as a faculty member at the University of Stellenbosch Business School for Executive Development in South Africa, where he lectured on leadership, human resource management, and strategic customer management. He furthermore founded and led two consulting firms namely Wisdomy and Performance Intelligence where he provided consulting, assessment, leadership development, organizational diagnostic, and executive and business coaching services to a diverse range of companies and professional athletes. Dr. Coetzer's industry experience includes roles such as HR Executive and Head of Organizational Effectiveness at an international construction and mining company named Basil Read, Executive Coach in Strategy and Finance at Raizcorp, HR and Business Development Director at Ranch Furniture, and as Psychometrist at Assessment Centre. Dr. Coetzer's achievements include receiving the Golden Key Award for top academic performance during his PhD studies and earning recognition for the best-published paper in an international Q2 ranking journal. He has also been nominated for the Academic Excellence Award at UDLAP. Dr. coetzer has actively contributed to academic and professional discourse by presenting papers at prestigious conferences, publishing articles in esteemed journals, and authoring a book titled "Leading Business Beyond Profit" and a book chapter titled "A Framework to Operationalize Servant Leadership". Additionally, he was a Forbes coach in 2020 and invited to be the sport psychologist of the South African National Rugby Team and the South African National Rugby Referees. Dr. Coetzer continues to inspire and lead through his dedication to teaching, research, and professional practice, shaping the future of leadership and management across the globe.
