Overview
My name is Julio Eduardo Sancliment Martínez, I have a PhD from the University of Salamanca, Spain, where I had the honor of receiving the highest distinction. In 2017, I also completed a Master's degree in Constitutional Law and Political Science at the Center for Political and Constitutional Studies in Madrid and obtained my J.D. at the the Escuela Libre de Derecho, where I graduated with honors.
My academic background includes over thirty courses, seminars, and round tables taken at institutions such as the University of Salamanca, the Center for Political and Constitutional Studies and Harvard University. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of participating as a speaker at conferences, seminars, and congresses in Mexico, Spain and El Salvador. As an author, I have written three books: A Look at the Constitutional Thought of Emilio Rabasa (currently in the process of being published), The Sentiment of Public Defense in Mexico and Public Defense in Mexico: Access to Justice for the Dispossessed. Additionally, I have published more than twenty articles in specialized journals and books.
Currently, I serve as the Dean of the Law School at the Querétaro campus, where I focus my research on "Constitutional Theory as a Science of Culture" and "Constitutional History" in general. Before joining Tec de Monterrey, I had the honor of being part of the Faculty staff at the Escuela Libre de Derecho, where I also served as the Academic Director of Graduate Studies and Coordinator of the Doctoral Program. Additionally, I have taught courses in Constitutional Law and History at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México, the Federal School of Judicial Training, and the Universidad Panamericana.
My commitment to academia, which I understand through research, publications, and teaching, is grounded in values such as leadership, teamwork and the promotion of a culture of excellence. I firmly believe in the importance of inspiring my students and colleagues to achieve shared goals, fostering a strong academic community focused on creating knowledge with social impact.
