Montes-Ruiz, Ana Paula

Overview

Ana Paula Montes (San José, 1978) is an architect and social urban planner. She recently completed a postdoctoral fellowships at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Her latest book published in 2023 is titled ¿Pandemia y Desigualdad. Perspectivas Socio-espaciales del Confinamiento en América Latina¿. She specializes in contemporary cultural geography, ecology, critical urbanism and spatial feminism, with an emphasis on gender studies and digital media studies. She has an accumulated experience of 15 years, teaching and researching at universities in Costa Rica, Spain and Mexico. She is a member of the National System of Researchers of Mexico.
