Ventura-Molina, Carlos Augusto

Overview

Under my leadership, the Information Technology program was recognized as a National Program of Excellence by CENEVAL (Centro Nacional de Evaluación para la Educación Superior), the national organization responsible for evaluating higher education in Mexico. The Chihuahua campus, in particular, was ranked among the top three in the country. Since becoming head of the department, I have taught annually at the federal level through the National Science Foundation and have been actively involved in software consulting, solution implementation, and delivering workshops for small and medium-sized enterprises. From 2005 to 2008, I served as the national director of the IT School at ITESM. I was reelected to this position in 2011. My responsibilities as department head also include teaching courses such as Discrete Mathematics, Automata Theory, Database Systems, and Software Engineering, where I consistently receive excellent evaluations from my students. In addition, I provide consulting services, having developed software applications for both local government agencies and the small business community.
