Ph.D. in Economics and Management Sciences at the Universidad de Guadalajara with the dissertation: "The impact of credit in the poor female-head households in Mexico". She holds a Master in Finance (Honors), a Master in Business Administration and Bachelor in Accounting (Honors) at the Tecnológico de Monterrey (ITESM).
She is the Accounting and Finance Department Director since 2007, Master in Finance Director since 2012 and the National Academic Coordinator of the Bachelor in Finance of all the ITESM Campy from 2011 to 2015. She has being Director of the Accounting and Finance Bachelor; Associate Director of the Bachelor in Finance; Accounting and Finance Coordinator.
She has been Instructor since 2001 and Associate Professor since 2009. She has taught Financial Information, Cost Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Financial Reporting, Intermediate Accounting, Strategic Planning and Management Control Systems, and Corporate Finance, at the Undergraduate and Graduate level.
She has published one book and papers in the Microfinance field; six cases in the "International case Center" at ITESM and more than 30 publications in the Burkenroad Financial Reports, ITESM-Tulane University. She is Member of the National Research System (SNI), Candidate Level.
She has been distinguished with the following recognitions Best Program Director (2013), Best Department Director (2012), Best Case Award, ITESM (2006), Best Professor Award, ITESM (2003).
