Professor and Researcher at the School of Humanities and Education of Tecnológico de Monterrey. Leader of the Research Group Humanities for Sustainable Development. She holds a Ph.D. in Humanistic Studies from Tecnológico de Monterrey. Her research interests include Applied Ethics, Work Education, and Education for Sustainability.
In 2023, she was recognized as an Impact Professor by Tecnológico de Monterrey. In 2017, she received the TEC Excellence in Teaching Award in the ¿Cátedra¿ category and served as a pioneer professor at the Center for Social Innovation (CIS) in San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas.
She was awarded the Santander-FIMPES Excellence Scholarship for Research and Graduate Studies, which allowed her to complete a research stay at the University of Deusto in the Basque Country. She has participated as an associate researcher in various national and international projects and publications in collaboration with the Education, Work, and Poverty research line of INIDE at Universidad Iberoamericana, the General Directorate of Training Centers for Work (DGCFT) of the Undersecretariat of Upper Secondary Education, and the DIE-CINVESTAV. She is also a member of the Faculty Board of the Ph.D. in Humanistic Studies at Tecnológico de Monterrey, both at the Monterrey and Mexico City campuses.
She currently leads the initiative ¿Engrandecer el corazón¿ (Enlarging the Heart) through the project Weaving Knowledge and Technologies: An Intercultural and Transdisciplinary Network for the Safeguarding of Cultural Heritage and the Epistemic Justice of Indigenous Women Artisans.
She is passionate about collective knowledge-building processes, intercultural dialogue, and the pursuit of alternative ways of relating to nature.
