Cerrillo-Garnica, Omar
Overview
Omar Cerrillo Garnica is a Mexican researcher and professor in Social Sciences. He has a PhD. Social and Political Sciences, Master Degree in Sociology, both from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City; graduated with honors. Since 2007 is professor of Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, specialized in social analysis of art, music and culture. In this college, he also developed a successful community engagement program through arts and sports. He was also professor at Universidad Iberoamericana from 2010 to 2014. He has participated in academic events in Mexico and other countries, and interviews in media, speaking about: music, human rights, sports sociology, culture as economic development, postmodern mariachi music, among many others.
