Overview
I am David García Suárez, a Mechatronics Engineer with a Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), and I serve as an Assistant Professor at Tecnológico de Monterrey. With a fifteen-year career, my focus has been on teaching and participating in high-level engineering competitions. As a University Professor, I have taught a wide range of courses spanning physics, mechatronics, and automation. My most significant source of pride has been leading teams in international competitions like the NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge and the MATE ROV World Championship, which led to my recognition within the "Círculo de Profesores Distinguidos 2022." My commitment to engineering education and my technical versatility, from welding to 3D printing, along with proficiency in various software tools, underpin my rewarding journey in education and mechatronic engineering.
I am a Mechatronics Engineer with a Master's Degree in Busines Administration and I have worked as Mechatronics Engineering Director for the last seven years. In this position I have been responsible for the attraction of new students, administration and academic follow-up, the accreditation of the Mechatronics Engineering program with CACEI and the positioning of the program internationally. I'm a professor in the department of Mechatronics, Science and Industrial Engineering and I have participated in educational innovation projects and initiatives such as Semana i, NOVUS projects and presentations at the Congreso de Innovación Educativa. I have been a mentor of the representative teams of the Tecnológico de Monterrey at the NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge and the MATE ROV International Competition as well as the general coordinator of the Downhill Challenge engineering competition.
