Overview
Tzinti Ramírez holds a BA in International Relations fromTecnológico de Monterrey, a Master in International Studies with a specialization in International History and Politics from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID) in Geneva, Switzerland where she received a scholarship as a special distinction from the Pierre Foundation du Bois for the study of the History of the Present; she is also a former student of the School of International Studies of Bocconi University in Milan, Italy and of the Political Science and International Studies Department at the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom. Since 2018 she has been Regional Chair of the Department of International Relations, Economics and Political Science for the Western Region of the School of Social Sciences and Government. From 2015-2018 she served as Program Director of the International Relations Degree at the Guadalajara Campus. Mtra. Ramírez also holds a specialization diploma in Design and Management of International Cooperation for Development Projects and Interventions awarded by the Organization of Ibero-American States, FLACSO and the University of Oviedo. She is also certified in Design Thinking methodologies by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and holds a specialization diploma in design of policies for gender equality from Flacso Uruguay and a certification in Sustained Dialogue from the Sustained Dialogue Institute in Washington, D.C. She is a frequent lecturer and project consultant for international agencies and organizations, city councils, non-governmental organizations, political parties and companies on topics such as leadership development with gender perspective, women's political leadership, Design Thinking for innovation, peace and justice education.
Regarding her experience in international cooperation for development, she has collaborated in the past with various international NGOs such as Oxfam International, Terre des Hommes Suisse in its headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland and Progetto Mondo MLAL in Verona, Italy, fulfilling various roles including that of desk manager and head of lobbying and projects for Latin America and liaison with international organizations.
She has been a professor in the Department of International Relations since 2013, during this time she has taught courses such as International Relations Seminar, Human Rights and International Politics, International Security and Terrorism, History of International Relations of the 19th and 20th centuries, Citizenship and Democracy, Historical Analysis of the International System and Gender Studies with a global perspective, among others. She also served as representative of the Institute before the Observatory of Political Participation of Women sponsored by the Jalisco Institute of Women during the 2018 elections and from 2019 to 2020 she represented the GDA campus in the security platform project of the Government of Jalisco.
In 2021 she wrote the country report for Mexico that appears in the article "A global outlook to the interruption of education due to COVID-19 pandemic: Navigating in a time of uncertainty and crisis" available at: http: // www. asianjde.org/ojs/index.php/AsianJDE/article/view/462.
