Vázquez-Topete, Carlos Renato

Overview

Mechanical-Electrical Engineer by the Universidad de Guadalajara, Mexico, (2004), Science Master in Electrical Engineering with specialty on Automatic Control by CINVESTAV, Mexico, (2006), Doctor by the Universidad de Zaragoza, Spain, (2011), Master in Industrial Technologies with specialty in Mechanical Engineering by UNED, Spain, (2016). He belongs to the Research National System (SNI) Level 2. He is author of about 50 research works, published in research journals and international congress proceedings, in the automatic control area, particularly in discrete event systems and hybrid dynamical systems, with applications in industrial automation, traffic systems, embedded systems, among others. He has directed 18 posgraduate thesis dissertations. He has lead and participated in research and development projects funded by public and private organizations. He has participated as international committe member in international conferences (IPC) and as Academic/Associate Editor in the journals Hindawi Mathematical Problems in Engineering and Frontiers Control Engineering. He has participated in the design of academic programs in Mechatronic Eng. and Master in Mechatronic Eng. Currently, he is professor at ITESM Campus Guadalajara, involved in the ScM and phD programs on Engineering Sciences, and he is a collaborator of the Cyberphysical Systems research group.
