Hinojosa-Hinojosa, Karen
Overview
Karen Hinojosa Hinojosa holds a master's degree in architectural design from the University of Navarra and a doctorate in architecture and urban affairs from the Autonomous University of Nuevo León. Her expertise focuses on cities and public space with an emphasis on inclusion, sustainability, and participatory processes. She is an associate professor at the School of Architecture, Art, and Design at the Tecnológico de Monterrey and the National Director of its Urbanism Program. She is a member of the National System of Researchers of Mexico, a citizen advisor to the Government of Nuevo León, and a collaborating researcher at the Early Childhood Center of the Femsa Foundation and the Tecnológico de Monterrey. She belongs to the International Association of Urbanists and the Mexican Association of Architects and Urbanists. She is a co-founder of Trama Urbana, an urban consultancy that seeks to improve the quality of life in cities. Through her multifaceted roles as an educator, researcher, advocate, and consultant, Karen Hinojosa champions sustainable and inclusive practices for present and future generations.
