In 1998, I obtained my Ph.D. in Applied Economics by the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona. Since August 1999 I am part of Tec de Monterrey. I was head in chief of the Economics Department for 13 years, period in which the undergraduate program in Economics achieved its highest levels in national university rankings. I have done over 40 consulting projects, I have published in indexed journals, and book chapters. As a teacher, I have taught at undergraduate, master, and Ph.D. levels specially in the areas of Microeconomics, Economics of Information, Social Project Evaluation and Competition Policy. I have been awarded for my achievements both: as a professor and a researcher.
