Addressing educational inequality through innovative and accessible learning tools is essential for building more inclusive and sustainable societies. This study presents the design, implementation, and initial impact assessment of Math Modelation Quest, a gamified educational app aimed at enhancing basic algebra learning among first-year undergraduate students. Math Modelation Quest combines curriculum-aligned exercises with interactive game elements to promote active problem-solving and technology acceptance. A five-day pilot with 20 students from Social Sciences and Engineering programs evaluated two dimensions: learning outcomes and technology acceptance. Results showed a measurable improvement in algebra performance, with the group average increasing 7.1 points. Additionally, 60% of students improved their scores. Technology acceptance was also positive, with all TAM constructs-Perceived Usefulness, Ease of Use, Enjoyment, Attitude, and Intention to Use-scoring above 3.1 (agree) on a 0-to-4 Likert scale. These findings highlight Math Modelation Quest's potential as a complementary tool for mathematics instruction in both STEM and non-STEM fields. Future work will focus on expanding the sample, implementation period, and adaptive features of the app. © 2025 IEEE.
