abstract

  • In the coming five years, artificial intelligence tools are expected to become more prevalent in people's lives and work settings. Educational institutions are tasked with integrating the teaching of skills to use this technology into their academic programs as this trend continues. A question arises about how future professionals view the integration and utilization of artificial intelligence in their education and future careers. This article discusses the findings of a study involving graduates from a technological university in Mexico, exploring their perspectives on incorporating and learning about artificial intelligence tools during their academic journey. The approach employed a detailed descriptive statistical analysis of variables using R software. Overall, the results showed that the respondents could recognize the role of artificial intelligence in their fields but were hesitant about incorporating this knowledge into their university studies, especially in traditional disciplines with minimal exposure to technology. © 2025 IEEE.
