abstract
- The progressive implementation of Intelligent Transportation Systems relies on the integration of multiple systems within different infrastructures, such as transportation pathways, energy grid or information and communication systems. Wireless connectivity plays a key role, owing to its adaptive and ubiquitous nature, leading to Vehicle to Everything communication links. In this work, the analysis of Dedicated Short-Range Communications within a Vehicle to Everything connectivity scenario will be analyzed, by means of wireless channel simulation as well as experimental validation within a real network deployment at Campus Monterrey in TEC Monterrey, Mexico. The results provide insight to performing optimization and planning for future autonomous vehicle connectivity within the surrounding urban area.
