The Ag, TiO2, Na2Ti6O13 (sodium hexatitanate) and tricalcium phosphate (Ca3(PO4)2) reinforcement particles possess very interesting characteristics, such as bioactivity and antibacterial properties. Several studies were performed: mechanical properties, swelling, scanning electron microscope (SEM) and the validation of extrusion in a 3D printing machine. SEM images show a high porosity in all samples, especially in the sample with TiO2 (300 micron). Samples with titanium dioxide and silver reinforcement display a strength above 100 MPa. Further, in vitro analyses are been developing in order to confirm viability assays.
