© 2020 Universidad ICESI. Published by Universidad Icesi, Colombia. The goal of this paper is to make an approach to the social commitment (philanthropic, integrated, and participatory), from the gender and age variables, to statistically demonstrate if there are significant differences between men and women, young and adults, in a group of Mexican workers. The study was carried out by means of a quantitative methodology, applying a three-item instrument to a sample of 440 collaborators from 12 companies in northeastern Mexico, whose answers were examined through an analysis of variance. As a conclusion, the study confirms 6 of the 12 hypotheses. This shows that, based on the gender variable, women present greater social commitment than men, both philanthropic and integrated, regardless of age. However, as regards the age variable, in the case of adult women, their social commitment is the same as that of young women, while adult men turn out to be more committed than young men.
