In the present work, we propose the intentional training of undergraduate biomedical engineering students to create a simple technological intelligence report by analyzing scientific publications and patents. Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) focused on the medical devices industry is proposed as the central topic, results suggest that the creation of technological intelligence report generates value to the undergraduate biomedical engineering students given them a tool to identify the impact of new technology in healthcare and medical devices.
