- This study explores the emergence of the 'metastudent' within the digital academic landscape shaped by the metaverse and blockchain technologies. Utilizing a systematic literature review guided by the PRISMA framework, the research investigates the role and definition of students in a meta university setting. Preliminary findings suggest a significant gap in the literature regarding student experiences and identities in these environments. The research aims to define the metastudent's interactions and the impact of Web 3.0 tools on their educational journey. This foundational work is pivotal for understanding and integrating the metastudent in future educational models and the broader professional world. © 2024 IEEE.
