  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) has revolutionized numerous aspects of our daily lives, and higher education is no exception. As AI technology continues to evolve, it becomes imperative to explore novel avenues through which it can enhance student training and bolster motivation and learning outcomes. This study aims to demonstrate the dedication and enthusiasm displayed by a cohort of Mechatronics Engineering students who utilized an AI bot to study classical control theory. The study objective was to illustrate that AI can be a valuable asset for educators when appropriately directed and trained. Furthermore, it aimed to showcase the influence of employing an AI bot on student motivation and learning outcomes. Although the results did not meet expectations concerning motivation to use the AI bot, the students' learning outcomes were slightly better compared to the group that did not use the AI bot. To obtain comparative results, surveys were used to collect information from students. © 2024 IEEE.
