Rodrigo E. Peimbert-García is the Director of the INTERNATIONAL LIAISON Office of Tecnologico de Monterrey (TEC) based in Sydney, Australia. He is a result-oriented, resilient, and versatile person with passion for INTERNATIONALIZATION and UNIVERSITY LEADERSHIP. Rodrigo holds a PhD in ENGINEERING MANAGEMENT from Texas Tech University (TTU), and he is a certified Lean Six Sigma MASTER BLACK BELT. He also belongs to the Engineering Honor Society, Tau Beta Pi, and the Industrial Engineering Honor Society, Alpha Pi Mu, in the United States.
Since he joined TEC to study his master's degree (Quality and Productivity Systems), Rodrigo has focused on learning and gaining knowledge in different areas; hence, he has professional experience in INTERNATIONALIZATION, Research, Teaching, Grant proposals, Consulting projects, and EXECUTIVE EDUCATION:
(2019-2024) Director of the Liaison Office of the (Deputy) Vice-Chancellor (INTERNATIONAL) in AUSTRALIA, from where he provides support to: Strengthen the INTERNATIONAL STRATEGY according to the GEOPOLITICS of the region, increase STUDENT MOBILITY, promote faculty mobility programs, develop STRATEGIC partnerships to strengthen the RESEARCH COLLABORATION, identify and attract INTERNATIONAL TALENT, promote both EDUCATIONAL INNOVATION and social impact initiatives, disseminate TEC high-impact events, and identify external funding opportunities. He has also participated as an HONORARY research fellow at Macquarie University (QS 130), and he is currently a VISITING fellow in the Faculty of Engineering and IT at the UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY SYDNEY (QS 90), wherein he collaborates with and learns the best practices from the ASSOCIATE DEANS (INTERNATIONAL). Rodrigo has published various research articles with dual affiliation during this time, in collaboration with universities in countries such as: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Chile, Finland, India, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States. He has also been involved in matters regarding the positioning of TEC in the RANKINGS, global reputation, and the international NETWORKS APRU, WUN, and U21.

(2018-2019) RESEARCH Professor at MTY Campus, where he participated in projects in different areas. He also partook in the design of academic units (Innovation and Transformation) for the TEC21 Educational Model. He was awarded as one of the TOP professors of the Industrial Engineering department during his last semester Jan-May 2019.
(2015-2017) Assistant Professor in Ecuador (USFQ) and later at SLP Campus. The role in SLP included providing support to increase local recruitment and freshmen enrolment, the program director, the head of department, and TALENT ATTRACTION for short-term visiting academics. Some of the results include a NOVUS grant of $200k MXN and an avg. ECOA of 9.8 during AD2017. He was also a visiting professor in Puerto Rico (PUPR) during the summer 2016.
(2014) Associate researcher and GRANT specialist in a private Technology Transfer Office (TTO), where he developed proposals to fund innovation projects (INADEM, FOMIX, and PEI).
(2013) CONSULTANT with focus on optimizing maintenance processes (LEAN) and conducting KAIZEN events for Aeromexico Group at the Mexico City International Airport.
(2010-2012) Research assistant during the TEC-TTU dual degree program, partaking in RESEARCH PROPOSALS for the National Science Foundation (NSF) and Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).
(2007-2009) Assistant in the area of EXECUTIVE EDUCATION and coach of Lean Six Sigma PROJECTS, with estimated annual savings of $80k USD per project, in companies such as: ARC Automotive, Bayer Health Care, Continental, Cornelius, Earth Tech, Frisa Aerospace, Gonher de Mexico, Methode Electronics, Xertix Metronet, and Vitro.
