Garay-Rondero, Claudia Lizette

Overview

Claudia is an Industrial and Systems Engineer with a Master's Degree in Quality and Productivity Systems Engineering, Black Belt in the Lean Six Sigma methodology from Tecnológico de Monterrey. She has a Ph.D. in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from the Universidad Popular Autónoma del Estado de Puebla; her research includes the exploration of models and enablers for logistics and supply chains in Industry 4.0
Her areas of interest are: education, research, quality, production (manufacturing and services), Lean Six Sigma, Logistics and Supply Chain in Industry 4.0, Lean Manufacturing, Logistics and Supply Chain, Human Resources, projects and consulting.
On the other hand, she is a constant support to Braillongo with IECEDEVI A.C. 2017-2020, she has participated in projects with impact in the community - social service like in Casa Hogar San Nicolas de Bari in 2018, Voluntary Promoters for the Hospital del niño Poblano A.C. in 2017, Junior Achievement Puebla Mexico 2017-2019 and support to Valora A.C. in 2016
She currently serves as the Support Vicechair of the American Society for Quality (ASQ), Mexico section. He has participated with different associations and organizations of social and business impact. She is currently a Member of the American Society for Quality 2011-2020, ViceChair Support for ASQ Mexico (ASQ) 2020 to date, Student Branch Counselor from 2018 to date. She was also a member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE) 2005-2006, 2017-2019.

She has been awarded by the NOVUS initiative by the Tecnológico de Monterrey in 2018, 2019 and the Silver Presence Learning Award granted by QS Reimagine Education 2019 in conjunction with Wharton University of Pennsylvania, for its scientific production and educational innovation projects such as the "Lean Thinking Learning Space", creating challenging manufacturing experiences.
She has more than 9 years of experience as a professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at the Tecnológico de Monterrey in Puebla. She has had professional experience within DHL Supply Chain and Tenaris Tamsa, in addition to being involved in projects in conjunction with the MIT Center for Transportation and Logistics initiative and within the companies Benteler Automotive, SMP Automotive Systems Mexico and Volkswagen de Mexico.

She is authentic, organized, loyal and emotional. She believes in justice, fairness and teamwork. She enjoys art, food, travel, animals, nature, meditation, yoga, hiking and running. She is motivated to create improvements, innovate and optimize processes that allow for continuous improvement within the organization, with the aim of mutual growth.
