Overview

I am a Chemist Parasitologist Bacteriologist, with a Master in Science in Microbiology, both at UANL. I also have a Doctorate in Sciences of Engineering with a specialty in Biotechnology at Tecnologico de Monterrey. I have worked at Tecnologico de Monterrey, Campus Estado de Mexico since 2010, and I held the position of Director of the Academic Department for 4 years, in Biotechnology and Chemical Engineering. I have led several link-research projects, for example, a CONACYT PEI in 2014. I imparted a certified course in Guayaquil, Ecuador. I participated in academic courses in Portland, USA, in 2013 and Montreal, Canada in 2016. I designed a FIT (Flexible, Interactive, and with Technology) course in microbiology and a new subject of Microbiology for the TEC21 model. I was a Regional Director for the Bioengineering Department for 2 years. I am a professor interested in carrying out educational innovations and of my proposals I have published around 8 papers presented at International Conferences and published in Scopus. I entered the National Researcher System (CONACYT) in January 2023 and I am at the candidate level. I belong to the Emerging Food Technologies and Nutraceuticals research group. I have two lines of research, one related to probiotics and their affectation by artificial sweeteners, and the other line is related to obtaining antioxidants and other valuable metabolites produced by plants and their use in foods.
I possess a baccalaureate title in Chemistry Parasitologist Bacteriologist, M.Sc. in Microbiology, both at UANL. I also have a Doctorate in Sciences of the Engineering with specialty in Biotechnology at Tecnologico de Monterrey. I started working at Tecnologico de Monterrey, Campus Estado de Mexico in 2010, and I held the position of Director of Academic Department for 4 years, handling all the administrative part of contracting, training, teacher development and life plans; as well as the management of budgets, design, equipment and implementation of the laboratories of Biotechnology and Chemical Engineering. I have been the leader of several link-research projects, for example, a CONACYT PEI in 2014. I imparted a certified course in Guayaquil, Ecuador. I participated in academic courses in Portland, USA 2013 and Montreal, Canada in 2016. I was recently selected to develop a FIT (Flexible, Interactive and with Technology) course in microbiology. I am always oriented to development of teamwork and department growth, focused on continuous improvement, always aligned with institutional values.
