Estrada-Díaz, Silvia Elizabeth
Overview
Silvia Elizabeth Estrada Diaz, studied Master of Science in Chemical Engineering in the Teconológico de Monterrey, Campus Monterrey (1999) and Chemical Engineer by the Facultad de Ciencias Químicas of the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (1994). She was a professor at ITESM Campus Monterrey in the Departments of Thermal and Control, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Agricultural Engineering from 1996 to 2005, in the areas of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer and air conditioning and refrigeration. And she has also participated in continuing education Certificate of ITESM Campus Monterrey, Centro de Estudios de Energía, Centro de Competitividad Empresarial and the Centro de Desarrollo e Innovación de Productos in conjunction with Vitro, Vidrio Plano, Siemens and the Comisión Nacional para el Ahorro de Energía (CONAE). She has worked on projects for companies such as Owens Corning, CEMIX, S.A. de C.V., PROLEC GE, S. de R.L. de C.V., Gas Natural México, SK Engineering and Construction, Galvak y Motores Mecánicos Monterrey among others. She is a member of ASHRAE (American Society of Heating and Air Conditioning Engineers), was adviser to the student chapter of the ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers), she participated as a teacher affiliated to the Department of Energy and projects in the area of thermal fluids at ITESM Campus Monterrey. She was Department of Biotechnology Engineering director from June 2011 to January 2016.
She is currently director of the program of Biotechnology Engineering and Sustainable Development Engineering; director of the Bioengineering and Chemical Process avenue and she is a professor of the following courses of Thermodynamics, Equilibrium Thermodynamics, Material balances, Energy balance at Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Puebla.
