Citlali Calderon graduated in 2018 with honors from a Ph.D. in Management form EGADE, Business School. She has an MBA and a degree in communication science from the Tecnologico de Monterrey. For more than 20 years, she held managerial positions in transnational companies in the marketing area and worked as a consultant. Currently, Citlali is an assistant researcher and marketing professor at the Business School of the Tecnologico de Monterrey; as well as member of the research group "Consumer Behavior and Conscious Marketing" in the same institution. She is also active member of the National System of Researchers (SNI) of the National Science and Technology Council of Mexico (CONACyT). Her research focuses on social marketing, social beliefs and misconceptions, seeking to apply marketing for a better world. She has published research articles in journals such as the Journal of Social Marketing, International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health, and Salud Pública de México.
