Pantoja-Calderón, Rodrigo
Overview
Rodrigo Pantoja majored in Architecture, Fine Arts and Art History from Drury University in Missouri. Upon graduation Rodrigo studied Landscape Urbanism at the Berlage Institute in Rotterdam. He also obtained a Master´s Degree in Landscape Architecture from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico.
He interned at Shigeru Ban Architects in Tokyo and then worked at Wiel Arets Architects in The Netherlands. In 2005, Rodrigo found evO(a)_lAb, a multidisciplinary architecture practice that intertwines urban and landscape components.
Rodrigo has worked as a freelance architectural writer for newspapers, magazines and blogs such as La Jornada, Un Lugar and Consejero de la Construcción all based in Mexico.
He has taught at Universidad Michoacana and Universidad Vasco de Quiroga in Morelia. Rodrigo was the Academic Director of the Architecture Program at ITESM_Tecnológico de Monterrey in Querétaro, Mexico from 2011 to 2016.
His architectural work has been published in Arquine and Actar.
