Díaz-Tufinio, Carlos Alejandro

Overview

Carlos Alejandro Díaz Tufinio is Biotechnological Engineer, with minor in Molecular Biology and Medical Biotechnology, from Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico City Campus. From the National Autonomous University of Mexico, he holds a M.Sc. in Biochemistry, with minor in Structure and Function of Enzymes applied to drug design; a Diploma in Clinical Pharmacology, focused in Biotechnological drugs; and a specialization degree in Applied Statistics to biological and medical sciences. Currently he is developing projects to study the relationship between pharmacokinetics and pharmacogenetics as part of a Ph.D. program in Experimental Clinical Research, with orientation to Clinical Pharmacology, from which he is currently a doctoral candidate. Lecturer and facilitator in several professional development courses, and in postgraduate and undergraduate level in the fields of applied biochemistry, pharmacology, biotechnology and biostatistics. Consultant for biopharma companies and biotech-based entrepreneurial projects. He is appointed as a technical expert in analytical biosimilarity and statistical bioequivalence by the Mexican regulatory agency (COFEPRIS), as well as an active member in the Codex Alimentarius Mexican sub-committees and the Statistical Committee of the Mexican Pharmacopea (FEUM). He has been recognized as Statistical Ambassador for the American Statistical Association (ASA) and awarded with the Mexican National Pharmaceutical Chamber (CANIFARMA) prize in 2019.

Consultant for biopharma companies and biotech-based entrepreneurial projects.
