Overview
Cinthya Flores Rivera is an Industrial Engineer, graduated from the Instituto Tecnológico de Culiacán, and earned a master¿s degree in Quality and Productivity Systems Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey, Monterrey Campus. She holds a PhD in Business Sciences from the University of Cantabria in Santander, Spain, receiving a Cum Laude distinction for her doctoral dissertation ¿Implementation and Results of Eco-Innovation Strategies in Family Businesses.¿
At the beginning of her professional career, she was in charge of coordinating Tutors and Consultants at the Business Incubator at Tec de Monterrey, Monterrey Campus. She has taught various courses and training units focused on entrepreneurship, business, and engineering at Tec de Monterrey Monterrey Campus, Tec Milenio, and Tec de Monterrey Sinaloa Campus. She served as Director of the Eugenio Garza Lagüera Institute of Entrepreneurship at Sinaloa Campus for 12 years, promoting various initiatives to support the development of new businesses through programs such as the Business Incubator, Social Entrepreneurship, Business Accelerator, Enlace+ Program, Technology Transfer Office, Family Business Program, as well as managing and promoting academic programs for the development of entrepreneurship competencies. Since February 2023, she has been part of the full-time faculty at the School of Engineering and Sciences. She also served as Coordinator of the Academic Integrity Committee at Tecnológico de Monterrey, Sinaloa Campus, where she oversaw the promotion and implementation of academic integrity and honesty in the education of both high school and undergraduate students from February 2023 to February 2025.
In her professional experience, she has worked as an instructor in different courses and as a business consultant in Innovation, Design Thinking (certified by MIT and IDEO tools), Business Models, and Family Businesses (certified by the Business Family Foundation), supporting entrepreneurs in developing their business ideas and providing business consulting to local and national companies. Cinthya has coordinated learning blocks, semestre i, and professional internships with undergraduate students from the School of Engineering and Sciences, as well as from the Business School at Tecnológico de Monterrey. She is currently an active member of the Mexican Association of Businesswomen, on the entrepreneurship development team for the Culiacán chapter, and serves as a mentor to women entrepreneurs in the areas of innovation, business model acceleration, and family businesses.
