Dr. Solís is a Civil Engineer graduated in 2000 from the ITESM-CAMPUS MONTERREY, holds a Master's Degree in Management and Organization of Construction Companies from the UNIVERSIDAD POLITECNICA DE CATALUNYA, ESPAÑA and a Doctorate in Engineering Sciences from the ITESM-CAMPUS MONTERREY with Honorable Mention of Excellence.
Since 2004, Dr. Solis has been a professor at the Tecnológico de Monterrey Plant, the Monterrey Campus, the Civil Engineering Department and the Design and Construction Center.
Dr. Solís has served as Coordinator of Continuing Education of the Department of Civil Engineering and Center for Design and Construction (2005 - 2009), and from 2009 to 2015 he served as Director of the Civil Engineering Degree. He is currently a leader in the consolidation strategy of the new TEC21 educational model in the area of ¿¿Engineering. From 2015 to 2017 he was the leader of the Academic Engineering Communities by the Academic Vice-Chancellor. In 2017, with the formation of the National Schools, he participates as a member of the Area Academic Aspects Team of the School of Engineering, National Coordinator for the IC Career in the development of the 2019 TEC 21 curriculum and is the National Coordinator of the Academic Communities of the EIC of the 7 national departments of the School.
He is a specialist in construction management in the following lines of work: Building Information Modeling, Lean Construction, Productivity, Economic Engineering, Construction Company Management, Sustainable Construction, and Cost Engineering.
Dr. Solís teaches courses at the Bachelor's and Master's level, in his specialty areas; He also conducts research and consulting for the last eight years in those same areas in vertical and horizontal building projects, multiple uses, industrial projects, education among others; including lectures, seminars and training in Mexico, he has directed more than 15 master's theses in Construction Management. Dr. Solís is a certified auditor of the National Housing Certification Program based on the 3cv + 2 model that was his Doctoral Thesis. Dr. Solís has been an exhibitor in diploma courses, courses, seminars of the Housing and Construction Industry in the area of ¿¿Construction Management since 2005.
Dr. Solis, is a member of the Latin American Society of Management and Economy of Construction, participates since 2005 in IGLC (International Group for Lean Construction) and is a member of the ASCE since 2008. He is reviewer of the following Journals of Construction Engineering and Management (ASCE), Journal of Green Building, Journal of Management in Engineering (ASCE) and Journal of Energy of Engineering (ASCE). He is a member of the CYTED Network (Europe) for research in Construction Management that involves a university in Chile, Brazil, Colombia, Portugal, Spain and Mexico.
Dr. Solís has published research articles for Journals, Indexed Journals, Conferences and Technical Journals. Dr. Solís was Advisor to the Secretary of Public Works of the Government of the State of Chiapas from 2001 to 2004 and was Commercial Director for Latin America of the International Center of Numerical Methods in Barcelona Spain from 2000 to 2002.
