Has a PhD in Environmental and Urban Studies from El Colegio de Mexico and recently received an award for his research as the best doctoral thesis related to Mexico City, given by the Local Congress. He is profesor ¿ researcher at the Tecnologico de Monterrey Campus Queretaro, where he teaches the Final Studio of the undergraduate program. Taught the course "Connectivity and Urban Mobility" at the Master of Architecture and New Urbanism. Also he has coordinated the "Laboratorio Urbano Querétaro" for the last three years. His research is focused on the study of the urban form and how it affects its inhabitants in very different aspects such as mobility, land-use patterns and health.
