Positions

He is Doctoral Programs Director at EGADE Business School, Tecnologico de Monterrey, co-leader of the Research Group on Entrepreneurship and Leadership and a member of the National System of Researchers, SNI-CONACYT. Until 2015 he was Professor and the Executive Director of Entrepreneurship Institute at Universidad del Desarrollo, Santiago, Chile. He visiting professor at several Latin American and European universities. It is Ph.D. in Management Sciences by ESADE-Univeristat Ramon Llull, Spain, Bachelor in Business Administration and Master in Marketing from Tecnologico de Monterrey. Member of the Board of the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor GEM, Project and part of the research committee of the same project. Has been a guest researcher at the World Institute for Development Economics Research of the United Nations University (UNU-WIDER) and in projects associated with the Inter-American Development Bank and the World Bank. Member and VP of the Iberoamerican Academy of Management, member of the Academy of Management, Strategic Management Society, Academy of International Business and International Council of Small Business. With his work within the GEM project, he has participated in the evaluation of public policies pro-entrepreneurship in different countries. He has written over 40 academic articles published in international journals like Small Business Economics, International Entrepreneurship and Management Journal, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Small Business Management, Technovation, Frontiers of Entrepreneurship Research, etc. He is an associate editor of the Journal of Business Venturing Insights and International Entrepreneurship and Management Journal. He is co-author of over 30 monographs on entrepreneurial dynamics in Chile and worldwide cooperating with important institutions such as the World Economic Forum.
