Cruz-Camino, Héctor

Overview

Héctor Cruz has more than 6 years of professional experience focused on the study of Human Genetics and the development of new businesses. Expert in diagnostic tests for genetic conditions, specializing in metabolic, hearing, and cardiac screenings for the newborn. During his career, he has actively participated in the genetic testing service, scientific research, as well as the development and launch of new screening programs. He has a degree in Biotechnology Engineering and a Master's Degree in Innovation for Enterprise Development, both from Tec de Monterrey. Currently, he is an associate professor at Tec de Monterrey teaching in the Bioengineering Department and actively participates as New Business Development Manager and Academic Research Manager at Genomi-k. His great interest in project management has allowed him to coordinate important projects for the design, evaluation, implementation, and monitoring of screening programs. Additionally, he has contributed to the growth and expansion of the company in countries such as Chile and the United States, analyzing and understanding the healthcare needs of each market with field activities. It has more than 10 publications in peer-reviewed journals, addressing issues related to neonatal screening programs and diagnosis of genetic conditions. He has participated in international congresses in the USA, Brazil and Argentina; and he has been an advisor for 4 theses to obtain the degree in Pediatrics and holds 1 patent.
