Julieta Noguez Monroy is full-time associated professor- researcher at the Computer Science Department, of the School of Engineering and Science (EIC) of the Tecnologico de Monterrey, Campus Ciudad de México. She received a Computer Science Ph.D. degree from Tecnologico de Monterrey, Mexico in 2006. She is the head of the Cyber-Learning & Data Science Laboratory. She belongs to Research Group with Strategic focus in Innovation Products. Her Research areas are: Intelligent and computer technologies in education (Applications for eLearning, MLearning, collaborative virtual environments, virtual visuo-haptic environments, emotional modeling of the student, etc.), Data Science and intelligent systems for Health (wearable, analytics for detection and prevention of diabetes, detection and prevention of frailty, mobile applications in health, etc). She is the coordinator of the projects on the Use of Technology in the Care of Older Adults and the Detection and Prevention of Fragility in Older Adults in Mexico, in collaboration with the General Hospital of Mexico, the Gerontological Center for Social Work of the UNAM and the National Institute of Medical Sciences and Nutrition Salvador Zubirán. She belongs to Mexican National Research System (SNI), Mexican Academy of Computation (AmexComp), IEEE, IEEE Computer Society, and IEEE Education Society. She has published more than 100 research articles in international journals and conferences. She has supervised 10 PhD dissertations and 13 Master Thesis.
