Miranda-Valenzuela, José Carlos

José Carlos Miranda holds a BS and MSc in Mechanical Engineering by Tecnológico de Monterrey and a PhD in Computational Mechanics by the University of Wales in the United Kingdom. Dr. Miranda is author or co-author of over 35 publications in refereed journals and conferences. He is also author of a book in Computational Mechanics. He was a member of the National System of Researchers (SNI Nivel I) and has collaborated in projects and taught courses for automotive companies like Bosch, FCA, Daimler, Delphi, Ford, General Motors, Inteva and Siemens VDO among others. He is an active member and ex-president of the Sociedad de Ingenieros Automotrices de México, A.C., national section of SAE International, the most important professional society in the mobility industry with 145,000 members in over 100 countries. He works for Tecnologico de Monterrey holding the position of Dean of the School of Engineering and Sciences for the Mexico City Region. In this most important job, he enjoys life with his wife Laura and his son Gustavo and his daughter Renata.
