Researcher and academic with a broad trajectory in immunopharmacology and health sciences education, Dr. Blanca Bazán-Perkins has stood out for her scientific leadership, talent development, and collaboration with internationally renowned institutions.
She is an active member of the Academic Societies of the School of Medicine and Health Sciences (EMCS) at Tecnológico de Monterrey, where she serves as a Mentor for the Trascendentia community. Likewise, she has held the position of Voting Representative on the Institutional Committee for Research Ethics since 2024. Her teaching work has been recognized by Tecnológico de Monterrey with the Inspiring Professor Award (2023), and her career with the Mujer Tec Award (2017).
At the international level, she has served as Senior Mentor and Teaching Assistant at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (2019 2026), where she consecutively received the Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award (2019 2024). She has also been the Tecnológico de Monterrey Site Director for Harvard's Principles and Practice of Clinical Research course and Senior Professor Assistant in Teaching and Learning Innovation for the Lemann Foundation, in Brazil (2020 2022).
In research, she has been Head of the Immunopharmacology Laboratory since 2019 and served as President of the Research Committee at INER (2017 2024). She holds an h-index of 15 (Scopus), with over 70 presentations at national conferences and 63 at international conferences. She has supervised 9 undergraduate theses and 6 graduate theses. She is currently a member of the Editorial Board of Scientific Reports and a Level II Researcher in Mexico's National System of Researchers (SNI).
