Calvillo-Corona, Luis Antonio

Overview

I am an engineer in electronic systems graduated from ITESM-CEM with Honorable Mention, I also hold a Master in Science in Automatic Control from the Electrical Engineering Department of CINVESTAV-IPN and I completed a DEA (master's degree) and a PhD at the INPG Automatic Laboratory in Grenoble, France. From my professional experience I can cite the following: Professor of the School of Engineering and Sciences, Department of Mechatronics of TEC-CEM where: - I prepare the material and teach three courses per semester. - I provide individual tutoring and counseling to students as required. - I participate as a jury in various engineering courses. - Continually taking training courses to improve my teaching methods. University level courses that I have prepared and taught: Process Automation, Computerized Control of Electrical Machines, Control Engineering, Mechatronic Design, Industrial Systems Automation, Control Systems, Control Engineering Laboratory, Process Automation Laboratory and Control of Electrical Machines Laboratory. Postgraduate level courses I have prepared and taught: Automation of Advanced Manufacturing Systems and Mechatronic Systems. At Micro Sistemas Especiales I was Director of Research and Development where I was responsible for: - Leading a team of engineers to study the specific needs of our different clients to offer the best technological and economic solution, which allowed us to update or develop new specialized products for subsequent manufacture, such as railway electronic equipment (STC-METRO, Bombardier, CAF, Rymsa, Evotrans), electrical energy consumption monitoring equipment (FIDE), luminaires using LEDs for mining environments (Primero Minning Corp), pharmaceutical laboratories (Janssen Cilag, Vicma), Industrial Plants and offices (P&G, Unilever, J&J) lamps using LEDs and rechargeable batteries for mines (3M, Tayoltita, Grupo México, Peñoles), telecommunications equipment (Telmex). - Direct the specific lighting projects (Conception, Development and Sales) of each client. - Draft, register and obtain patents for designed products. - Analyze the bases, prepare and present the corresponding documentation in the different national and international public bidding processes. - Prepare and carry out the presentations of the equipment for the clients. Key strengths I possess to be successful in educational positions include, but are not limited to, the following: - Utilize a variety of instructional technologies and methodologies in courses. - Help students develop their talents through a variety of presentations, exercises, projects, investigations, discussions, and tests. - Leading and supporting students throughout the teaching process generating creative solutions. - Teach students the importance of teamwork to develop responsibility, ethics, cooperation, tolerance, sustainability of the environment and achieve the established objectives.
