Lina De León obtained a Bachelor Science in Chemical Engineering, from Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (UANL) in 2003. After receiving a Master of Science with orientation in Sustainable Processes (UANL) in 2010 she obtained a doctorate degree in Engineering of Materials (UANL) in 2014. From 2014 to today, Lina De León has been a lecturer in the science field and has taught subjects like Chemistry, Chemistry Laboratory, Thermodynamics, Mass balance, and Physics. Also, she has taught formation units from Tec21 Model. From 2017 to 2019, Lina was a Postdoctoral Associate Researcher in the Nanotechnology for Devices Design Research Group at the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM). In 2018 Lina carried out a research stay at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. In the research field, Lina specializes in the synthesis of nanostructured materials for applications in catalytic combustion, photovoltaic devices, and batteries, from which various scientific papers have been published in indexed journals, as well as a book chapter. In the industrial field, Lina worked as an Environmental Auditor in training at the company VAASA (Verificaciones y Auditorías Ambientales, SA) and as a Verification Technician in training at the company GIVGSA (Grupo de Ingeniería y Verificación de Gases, SA), she worked in both verification of documentation as well as verification on-site at these companies.
