Lina De León obtained a Bachelor Science in Chemical Engineering, from Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (UANL) in 2003. After receiving a Master of Science with orientation in Sustainable Processes (UANL) in 2010 she obtained a doctorate degree in Engineering of Materials (UANL) in 2014. In 2017, Lina became a Postdoctoral Associate with the Nanotechnology for Devices Design Research Group at the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM). Lina also has taught subjects mainly related to chemistry (Chemistry, Chemistry Laboratory, Industrial Chemistry and Sustainability) and Physics (Physics: Fluids, optics, and heat). In the research field, Lina specializes in the synthesis of nanostructured materials for applications in catalytic combustion, photovoltaic devices, and batteries, from which various scientific papers have been published in indexed journals, as well as a book chapter. In the industrial field, Lina worked as an Environmental Auditor in training at the company VAASA (Verificaciones y Auditorías Ambientales, SA) and as a Verification Technician in training at the company GIVGSA (Grupo de Ingeniería y Verificación de Gases, SA), she worked in both verification of documentation as well as verification on-site at these companies.
