García-Guendulain, Crescencio

Overview

I am Dr. Crescencio García Guendulain, passionate about higher education with over 12 years of experience as a teacher, researcher, and academic director. My academic background includes a PhD in Mechatronic Engineering, Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor's in Electronic Engineering. Currently, I am the Division Director of the School of Engineering and Sciences at Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Tampico. Additionally, I have worked as a Technology Development Project Consultant and Engineering Manager at BOMMUS de México. Previously, I was Academic Secretary at the Universidad Politécnica de Altamira, where I consolidated educational programs and held key roles in Energy and Electronic Engineering. My achievements include being a Member of the National System of Researchers (2019-2022) and receiving the Inspiring Teacher Award in 2018 from Tecnológico de Monterrey. I have contributed to academia and industry with patent applications and publications in scientific journals, and I have led applied research projects in collaboration with various companies. My skills encompass project management and monitoring, strategic planning, personnel management, and effective communication. I am a native Spanish speaker and have a B2 level of proficiency in English. I am committed to transforming engineering education, promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, and the holistic development of students. My goal is to continue leading successfully, contributing to the institution's advancement and excellence.
