Overview
Dr. Héctor Javier Zambrano Meza is a mechanical engineer graduate from the Universidad de los Andes (ULA), Venezuela; He also graduated as an Industrial Engineer from the National Open University (UNA), Venezuela, he completed two master's degrees, one in applied mathematics in Engineering, from the Universidad de los Andes (ULA) in Venezuela, where he also obtained a degree of higher studies in applied mathematics, and the other master in Heavy Oil Extraction (oil & gas) from the National Experimental University of the Armed Forces (UNEFA) and studied his doctorate in Engineering Sciences from the Central University of Venezuela (UCV), he is also a programmer in Computers from the CECITEC Science and Technology Center, Venezuela, has advanced studies in physics from the Institute of Scientific Research (IVIC-Venezuela).
Dr. Zambrano has experience in the oil industry for more than 15 years in the exploration and production area, specialized in Flow Assurance, specialist in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), numerical modeling, Finite Volumes, Elements Finites, simulation of multiphase flows and phase separation. Leader of multidisciplinary work in onshore and offshore projects, to ensure flow in the oil area. Experience as a rotating equipment engineer in one of the largest refineries in the world (Paraguaná Refining Center - CRP).
He has been a university professor with more than 20 years of experience, at different universities in Latin America, presenting research papers at national and international conferences and publishing scientific articles in various peer-reviewed and indexed journals. Coordinator of the concentration in the oil and gas value chain of the Technological Institute of Higher Studies of Monterrey (ITESM) -Mexico-Central Region, and professor of the national subjects of reservoir engineering and hydrocarbon production at the same institution; as well as a teacher in the area of applied mathematics, physics and computing at the Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey, he participated with the team of teachers in the implementation of the TEC21 model on the Mexico City campus;consultant and researcher in oil and gas, winner of the Novus 2017 with the project "STEAM-TEC: educational and interactive software for learning oil & gas", Novus 2018 with the project "MATHPOL: Development and evaluation of mathematical competences using oriented learning in multidisciplinary projects "and Novus 2019 with the project" PVT-TEC: Software based on artificial neural networks for the calculation of Pressure-Volume-Temperature applied in oil & gas projects ", winner of the recognition as inspiring professor in the science department of the Tecnológico de Monterrey year 2018. Academic advisor of TEC21 model of Engineering path for IIT, belongs to teaching teams for creation of training units (UF) of TEC21 Model since December 2019, winner of recognition as professor with best ECOA semester February-June 2020, Instructor in CADI courses: Multiphysics Simulation in Science and Engineering February 2021.
