García-Ortíz, César Eduardo
Overview
Dr. César García obtained the degree in Physics from the Faculty of Physical-Mathematical Sciences at the Autonomous University of Nuevo León (UANL), where he also obtained a PhD in Industrial Physics Engineering, specializing in Nano-Optics and Plasmonics. He spent 2 years at a postdoc position at the University of Southern Denmark, working mainly on the study of the interaction of light at the nanoscale. Dr. García-Ortíz held the position of CONACYT Research Fellow, for a period of 8 years, commissioned at the Center for Scientific Research and Higher Education of Ensenada (CICESE). In addition, Dr. César García is incorporated into the National System of Researchers, Level 1, and currently holds an associate professor position, and currently is the Associate Director of the Science Department at Tecnológico de Monterrey. Dr. César García is author of more than 30 scientific articles in international refereed journals, and his lines of research cover the topics of nanotechnology, plasmonics, nano-optics, optical biosensors, fluorescence and quantum optics.
