Conchouso-González, David

Dr. David Conchouso González is a professional with more than 16 years of national and international experience in fundamental and applied scientific research, as well as technology development. He has published over 15 articles in recognized journals, holds 3 granted patents, and has a Google Scholar h¿index of 15. His career has been distinguished by leading global institutions such as DOW, NIST, and Lab on Chip. Since 2020, he has been a member of the National System of Researchers and Research Fellows (SNII, Candidate Level) and has collaborated with prestigious universities including UPPue, IPN, INAOE, Tecnológico de Monterrey, UBC, NUS, KAUST, KFUPM, University of Michigan, UDLAP, Anáhuac Puebla, and Waseda University. His research focuses on the development of innovative technologies for diverse industries such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, recycling, automotive, oil and gas, and consumer electronics. His achievements range from creating high¿throughput microfluidic devices for single¿cell screening, to manufacturing active pharmaceutical ingredients, and fabricating ultra¿elastic silicon structures. Since returning to Mexico in 2018, Dr. Conchouso has actively promoted universal access to knowledge and strengthened public institutions. He has led scientific research workshops enabling professors to join the SNII, participated in outreach events such as ¿La Noche de las Estrellas¿, served as examiner for a doctoral thesis at INAOE, and consulted on quality management systems for the Hidalgo state government. In February 2023, Dr. Conchouso was appointed Director of the School of Engineering and Sciences at Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Hidalgo. In this role, he oversees academic quality and student experience, manages more than 30 faculty members, organizes academic events, teaches courses, and has secured significant funding for the opening and renovation of four laboratories.
