Cruz-Ancona, Christopher Diego

Overview

¿¿¿Diego Cruz received a bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering (2012), a Master in Sc. (2014) and Doctorate in Sc. (2018) degrees in Automatic Control from CINVESTAV, IPN, Mexico. He was a visiting researcher at the University of Tokushima (2018) and postdoctoral researcher at Sliding Modes Lab (2019-2022) in UNAM and Intel Labs (2022-2023) working in academic and industrial projects related to synchronization, robust and adaptive control with applications to robotic platforms. His research areas include Robust, Safe and Adaptive Control, Multi-agent systems, Nonlinear observer design and Time Delay Systems. He is co-author of one book, one patent application in USA and more than 20 research papers in top-tier journals and research venues. He has been a Level I member of the National System of Researchers (SNII) since 2020. Since June 2023, he has held a full-time faculty position at Tecnológico de Monterrey, where he serves as co-investigator of the Soft Robotics and Control Automation project within the Mechatronics Department, and as co-founder and co-leader of the Hybrid Soft Robotics Lab (est. 2024).
