Palomeque,Julieta

Julieta Palomeque is a physician, holds a doctorate in medicine, and is a professor of physiology. She currently works as a research professor at the Institute for Obesity Research. Her research focuses on intracellular signaling that alters the excitatory-contractile coupling of cardiomyocytes. She is currently investigating how metabolic diseases disrupt this coupling. Her current challenge is to identify the biological differences between sexes that lead to varying susceptibility to heart disease at different stages of life in men and women.
