Overview
I hold a PhD in Public Policy from the Tecnológico de Monterrey, a master's degree in Economics, and a bachelor's degree in International Relations from the Autonomous University of Nuevo León (UANL). I am a member of the National System of Researchers (SNI) in Mexico and, since 2023, a full-time professor at the School of Government and Public Transformation at Tecnológico de Monterrey.
My research and consulting work focuses on the use of economic complexity principles and tools for the design of regionally tailored production policies and industrial strategies that promote inclusive development.
Between 2009 and 2018, I coordinated the online Master's Degree in Applied Public Management and the Strategic-Technological Observatory. From 2018 to 2022, I coordinated initiatives for TEC Strategic Consulting and the Institute for Regional Development, where I led various consulting and applied research projects for the School of Government and Public Transformation at Tecnológico de Monterrey.
Between 2022 and 2023, I led the Competitive Intelligence and Public Policy Unit for Sustainable Manufacturing at the Institute of Advanced Materials for Sustainable Manufacturing and the Regional Development Laboratory.
