Niedrist,Gerhard
Overview
My strengths lie in my academic diversity. I have 16 years of research and teaching experience in the areas of law and international relations as well as 4 years of directing a master's degree. Likewise, I have had Conacyt-SNI Level 1 recognition since 2008 and an excellent evaluation (9.4 or better) from my students. I have successfully coordinated the accreditation of Tec's academic programs and I have participated and coordinated the evaluation of prestigious Mexican academic programs. I have cooperated and participated in universities and institutions of international prestige, such as the Max Planck Institute, the Wilson Center and Georgetown University, the University of Salamanca, UNAM and the Kennedy School at Harvard. I also develop and participate constantly in research projects, such as with the European Union, the UNAM or the Challenge-Based Research Funding Program of the Tec de Monterrey.
I am constantly involved in the development of our faculty (Tec Challenge, student recruitment events, interviews with new professors) as well as in the institutional life of Tec de Monterrey, for example in the Academic Dishonesty Committee or in the Campus Cultural magazine. In addition to my doctorate in law, I have a degree in computer science, on the basis of which I have developed quantitative models, and processed them through complex computer programs.
I believe in an active policy of gender equality and people with different abilities and skills and understand its principles from an international and comparative point of view. My personality is characterized by honesty, a high sense of fairness and ethics, as well as loyalty to our institution. In this same sense, I would be pleased to have the opportunity to deepen my application to the present vacancy in further conversations.
