Overview

I hold a Doctor of Law degree from Paris-Lodron University of Salzburg, with a specialization in international law, human rights, and comparative law (European Union, Germany/Austria). I have been part of Tec de Monterrey since 2007, first as part of the Master s Program in International Law, which I directed from 2010 to 2013, and since 2015 at the School of Social Sciences and Government on the Monterrey campus. My academic projects have always focused on building bridges between cultures, whether as a member of the Chair of European Studies, through research stays such as at the Max Planck Institute in Heidelberg (Germany), through publications with prestigious German publishers such as Duncker & Humblot or Peter Lang, or through the organization of study trips with our students to international and European organizations in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and France. I hope to make a small contribution to improving understanding between European and German culture on the one hand, and Mexico and Latin America on the other. Beyond my academic work, I have interests in electronics and technology (due to my training as an electronics and computer engineer) as well as in social and health issues, stemming from my ten years of experience as a paramedic.
