Academic and administrator at Tecnológico de Monterrey. He has published 24 research papers in national and international indexed journals (including scopus), coordinated 4 books, and has given conferences and talks at national and international events. He is member of the SNI, and participated in evaluation, prize and academic committees such as the Mexico´s Graduate Studies Council. Rubio's experience in managerial activities at Tecnológico de Monterrey includes being Dean of Research of the Sistema Tecnológico de Monterrey and the Metropolitan Mexico City Zone, Dean of Undergraduate Studies at the Mexico City Campus, as well as Director of the Humanities and Social Science Division. He currently is Dean of the School of Social Sciences and Humanities in the Metropolitan Mexico City Zone. At a system wide level, he was a member of the Tecnológico´s Academic Council, and coordinated the implementation of the research group model, as well as the research and graduate studies component of the reaccreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). He recently was part of the design group for undergraduate programs in the Paths Model.
