Castillo-González, María Concepción
Overview
María Concepción is member of The School of Humanities and Education at the Tecnológico de Monterrey. She has a PhD in Humanities from the same institution from its México city Campus. She holds a B.A. in communication, with honors, from Técnologico de Monterrey, Queretaro Campus. She is a specialist in community development from Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro and holds a master's degree in Humanities with a focus on ethics, from the Tecnológico de Monterrey. She is certified as a learning service didactic technique facilitator, and has collaborated in the design and management of social projects.
She has participated as a lecturer in a number of national and international academic congresses. She has published papers in scientific journals indexed in Scopus and she is an advisor and reviewer of doctoral theses and scientific papers.
As part of her international experience, she participated in a research residency at the Instituto Interuniversitario de Desarrollo Social y Paz de la Universidad Jaume I in Spain.
She is interested in the study of communication from a philosophical, ethical and cultural perspective as well as the study of materialization of the violence in human bodies as cultural representations.
Her PhD dissertation analyses the sense of justice formation, through the social recognition category in the case study of 43 disappeared students of Ayotzonapa in the YouTube videoactivism platform.
At the Tecnológico de Monterrey she is member of the peace studies and ethics strategic research group and of the Peace Culture UNESCO-Tec research and lecture series. Maria Concepción is an active member in the Communication Researchers Mexican Association (AMIC).
