Almanza-Arjona, Yara Cecilia

Overview

Chemical Engineer graduated with honours from UNAM. She studied Chemical Reaction Engineering at the University of California Santa Barbara, USA. She worked at the Polymer Research Centre (CIP) of the COMEX group. She was awarded the Chevening scholarship, from the British Embassy to study for her PhD in Advanced Polymers at the University of Wales, United Kingdom. She received the first prize for best research paper from young members of the Institution of Electrical Engineers in London, England. She was a Junior Researcher at Grupo Girsa (Resistol) and had two postdoctoral fellowships at ICAT, UNAM. She has nine years of teaching experience at Tecnológico de Monterrey. She is currently part of the National System of Researchers (SNI) at Level 1, and a full-time professor in the Department of Sustainable and Civil Technologies, at the Tec de Monterrey, Campus Estado de México.
