My professional training is dual, as a Bachelor of Physics and Bachelor of Mathematics, and although they are two independent careers, I have always been interested in research projects that are at the intersection of both, that is Physical-Mathematical. This is shown by my studies in the Master of Science (Mathematics) where my thesis was in "Semi-classical analysis" and my research in the Ph.D. in Sciences (Mathematics) which was in "Quantum Topology". The courses I have taught at the Tec de Monterrey have always been in Mathematics (Mathemathics 1, 2, 3, Advanced Mathematics and Differential Equations), but before coming to Tec the courses I usually taught were in Physics. In the last two semesters I have participated in Blocks in Science that have been taught to students (the latter is Turing Block), where the blocks are based on solving an integrative project (also called a challenge) where the courses of Mathematics 1, 2 and Physics 1 are applied. In these Blocks my participation has been as a teacher of a course and at the same time as tutor of the group. My main responsibility in these groups is to develop the skills that a science course should cover (such as analyzing, modeling and solving problems applied to engineering through a mathematical model) and evaluating them in a clear and transparent manner so that students be guided through the course to reach the established goal.
