Urrutia-Baca, Víctor Hugo

I am a chemist and researcher focused on research and development of projects that allow new knowledge and scientific evidence on innovative alternatives for the diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of human diseases. I have a multidisciplinary approach, including Immunology, Microbiology, Gastroenterology, Biotechnology, Health Sciences, among others. I have more than nine years of experience in preclinical research and more than five in clinical research in the development and innovation of antimicrobial products with germicidal and virucidal activity, vaccines, nanocomposites, among others. During my national and international postdoctoral stay, I have promoted the development and validation of advanced analytical methods for the identification and quantification of bioactive compounds by LC-MS and GC-MS. In addition, I did a short stay at the Institute of Dairy Products of Asturias (IPLA-CSIC) in Spain. My mission is to contribute to the advancement of science and technology with a multidisciplinary, ethical and responsible approach. I have published 20 articles in journals with an impact factor of 300 citations and an h-index of 10, I have generated 3 patents, I have presented papers at international conferences (ASM Microbe 2016, 2019, 2022, and 2023, CIAFN 2022 and 2023, International Material Research Congress 2022, among others) and won awards for my research (UANL Invention Award 2024). I have also trained specialized human resources by directing theses and teaching at the postgraduate level. I am passionate about dissemination and linking academia with industry to promote innovation in research projects. I have been part of the National System of Researchers level 1 (SNI-1 CONAHCYT) since January 2020 to the present.
